| ALIGARH September 5: The UGC Academic Staff College, Aligarh Muslim University launched a short-term course on Health Awareness for AMU faculty members. Twenty-six participants from different departments have enrolled for the six day course. Prof. A. R. Kidwai, Director, UGC Academic Staff College said that the course has been conceived keeping in mind the specific requirements of AMU faculty as concern for health and fitness is growing these days. Course coordinator Professor Seema Hakim, Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, JN Medical College said that topics relevant to the general health and wellbeing of an individual are included in this course. Eminent resource persons from the JNMC including Prof. R. K. Tiwari, Prof. Jamal Ahmed, Prof. Khalid Sherwani, Prof. M.U. Rabbani, Prof. Shahid Siddiqui, Prof. S.S. Ahmed, Prof. S. Moeid Ahmad, Prof. Zubair Ahmad, Prof. Shoaib Zaheer, Dr. Obaid Siddiqui and Dr. Zehra Mohsin will deliver lectures during the course. ASC faculty Dr. Faiza Abbasi welcomed the participants and assured them of an effective delivery of the course content on behalf of the Academic Staff College.
